So, this round brushing thing isn't as hard as you think. Take this picture, for example. She has volume and bend, while still maintaining that nonchalant, "I'm too sexy for my shirt" style we all want. Now that you have purchased you new brush, don't go crazy. Start simple. Today, begin with a baby step.
Baby step #1: just us the round brush on the top half of your hair.
That's right! Wash your hair, towel dry and add a little product (we will go over these secrets later). Begin drying your hair with your fingers, pulling the hair away from the roots. Flip your head upside down if you like, or remain standing. Once the hair is 50% dry begin using a vent or paddle brush to pull the hair in the back straight. Brush your hair from side to side, forwards and backwards to get some volume in and curl out. Now your hair is 80% dry. Start roundbrushing the top only. I tell my clients to put your hairdryer down while still running. Pick up the round brush. Section some hair off on the top of your head. Once the brush is in position, then pick up the dryer and put some heat to it. Roll the brush up and down until dry. Let it cool in the brush for a few seconds, and release. Voila!! Volume, baby!
